Astrology: A Path to Self-Realization and Insight

Jyotisham (Astrology) is not just about predictions—it’s a profound science of self-realization. The word “Jyoti” means light, symbolizing guidance during uncertain or dark phases of life.

Astrology cannot change the past, present, or future. However, it reveals insights about them. It helps us move forward with awareness, aligning action with understanding.

Traditional Vedic astrology is based on the principles of karma and reincarnation:

  • Druda Karma – Unchangeable consequences from past actions
  • Adruda Karma – Changeable outcomes shaped by current actions
  • Sanchita Karma – Accumulated karma from past lives

Applications of Astrology

Astrology helps us understand both the material and spiritual aspects of life:

  • Material Goals: Career, wealth, relationships, etc.
  • Spiritual Growth: Self-awareness and soul alignment

Life Situations Where Astrology Helps

Astrology interprets life through 12 houses (Bhavas), each representing an area of life:

  • Health
  • Education
  • Career or Business
  • Finances
  • Home and Stability
  • Marriage
  • Children
  • Challenges or Expenses
  • Spiritual Devotion

Sometimes effort leads to great success (luck), and sometimes effort brings poor results (misfortune). Astrology helps identify when conditions are supportive or challenging.

Learning Astrology

There are many ways to make predictions. Each method has its own strengths. The most reliable method is based on birth chart details.

Astrology is divided into three core parts:

  • Siddhanta Bhaga: Astronomical and mathematical calculations
  • Phalita Bhaga: Prediction based on birth time and planetary positions
  • Muhurta Bhaga: Identifying auspicious times to begin any task

Major Methods in Astrology

Parashara Astrology

The most widely used Vedic method. Uses planetary positions and the Dasha system to time life events.

Jaimini Astrology

Founded by Sage Jaimini, this method focuses on special indicators and unique predictive logic.

Nadi Astrology

Divides each zodiac sign into hundreds of micro-parts for detailed analysis. Famous schools include Brugu Nandi Nadi, Shiva Nadi, and Agasya Nadi.

Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP)

Highly effective for answering specific questions (Prashna) without needing full birth details.

Western Astrology

Focuses on psychological state and annual transits. It does not include karma or fate but evaluates the person’s mindset and potential.

Palmistry (Hasta Samudrikam)

Reads palm lines to make predictions, though with less subtlety than Vedic astrology.

Remedies in Astrology

Karma is resolved by karma. Remedies are not shortcuts—they are habits for healing and balance.

Vedic remedies may include:

  • Mantras, Yantras, Tantras
  • Japa, Homa, Tarpanam
  • Charity and temple visits

We do not oppose rituals—but we discourage following them blindly. Understanding karma and aligning with good deeds is the best remedy.

Our Teaching Approach

Rather than learning every method, we suggest deeply mastering one system and cross-verifying with others for accuracy. In our course, we focus on:

  • Parashara Astrology
  • Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP)
  • Western Astrology

Combining Different Systems

Traditional astrology shows whether something will happen. Western astrology shows how smoothly or with what mindset it will happen. Together, they complete the picture.

Example: Traditional astrology may predict travel from Bangalore to Mumbai. Western astrology tells whether the journey will be smooth or stressful. Combined, we know both the outcome and the experience.

Conclusion

Astrology is a vast and sacred science. With clear understanding and practical tools, we can use it to improve our lives—materially and spiritually.

In this course, we also share our research and introduce astrology tools that simplify complex calculations, especially for marriage matching and predictive accuracy.

Let astrology be the light that guides your journey—both inward and outward.
